IQE Researcher David Weld receives NSF CAREER Award
IQE PI David Weld has received a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation. The award will support a program of IQE-relevant research into quantum emulation of strongly-driven interacting systems, combined with an outreach program focusing on scientific professional development at the high school, community college, undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels.
The NSF’s Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) program offers the organization’s most prestigious awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations. These priorities are closely aligned with goals and strengths of the California Institute of Quantum Emulation: IQE PI's Wes Campbell, Sid Parameswaran, Dan Stamper-Kurn, and Joel Moore have also received the CAREER award.
