IQE Kickoff Meeting

The January 2016 collaboration meeting of the California Institute for Quantum Emulation (CAIQuE, or IQE) will bring together UC and external researchers in Berkeley to pursue a joint focus on driving advances in quantum emulation.  The IQE is a UC-wide multidisciplinary research center focused on new experimental and theoretical approaches to complex quantum phenomena.  The initial scientific focus of the institute is on two interrelated topics: nonequilibrium quantum systems and topological bands.

Registration will take place at the entrance lobby of Campbell Hall.  Talks will take place in 131 Campbell Hall, with the coffee break happening on the patio outside if the weather is nice, otherwise in the lobby area or a nearby classroom.  Lunch and posters are in 375 LeConte Hall. Both Campbell and LeConte are part of the Physical Sciences Complex of buildings on the UC Berkeley campus, located just East (uphill) of the Campanile clock tower.
